RaceTrac Petroleum Inc. has two distinct operating divisions, RaceTrac and RaceWay. RaceTrac convenience stores are company owned and operated. RaceWay stores are leased to a third party Contract Operator. Candidates for the operation of a RaceWay must have retail or gas convenience experience, as they will be responsible for the day to day operations of the store. The Contract Operator will be paid a commission per gallon of gasoline sold. All inside inventory and sales are the property and responsibility of the contract operator. RaceTrac will own, supply, and price the gasoline; therefore no information about the monthly volume, profit/loss or gas margins will be made available.
